Porsche dominated the 1976 season with championship victories in classes 4, 5 and 6. The 934 RSR Turbo dominated the European GT Championship, earning class victories in every race of the season.
Prior to 1976, Max Moritz, a well respected Porsche dealer in Germany, had gained extensive experience entering numerous Porsches in European events. When the 934 RSR became available, he took delivery of two cars and prepared them for a very busy season. They would be driven primarily by Helmut Kelleners and Reinhardt Stenzel.
Painted in the popular Porsche orange with Jägermeister livery, the two cars were truly unmistakable and unforgettable.
On May 30, 1976, both cars were entered in the 4th round of the World Championship race at the Nürburgring. For this 1000km race, the cars wore numbers 24 and 25. Ace drivers Derek Bell and Günter Steckkönig were enlisted to share the driving duties. Derek Bell spent time at the wheel of both cars. The team earned a class victory plus a third in class, separated only by another Porsche 934 RSR!
