Like its two teammates, Grand Sport 003 was painted in the Mecom Racing Team's typical Cadillac Blue metallic paint. This Grand Sport, #65, had a black stripe on the hood and no black outline on the number targets.
Chassis 003 saw lots of action during the 1963 Nassau Speed Week. This car was driven by Jim Hall in the 5 lap GT qualifying race in which he finished third behind Thompson's #80. Hall's machine suffered the same overheating differential problems that plagued Thompson, leading to his retirement from the Nassau Tourist Trophy Race.
Modified with an external oil cooler, #65 was driven by Augie Pabst in his only Grand Sport ride to a fourth place finish in the Governor's Cup race later in the week. Newcomer John Cannon drove this Corvette to 8th place in the final event of the Nassau Speed Week; the Nassau Trophy race.
