Vanquish: to prove convincingly superior...in a contest, competition, or argument.
Aston Martin's V12 Vanquish has been the British company's flagship from it's introduction in 2001 through to retirement in 2007. It was the official James Bond car in Die Another Day. It is the last of the hand-built Astons.
Under new management and part of the Ford Premier Automotive Group, Aston Martin found the DB7 had the company on the road to profitability for the first time in many years.
The DB7 was a good car, but with the all-new V12 Vanquish the small firm from Gaydon, England suddenly had a bonafied GT supercar on offer. The brilliant new coupe and the Hollywood connection propelled Aston Martin to the top of Exoto's Vanquish in grand 1:18 scale -- the first release in our new Gran Turismo collection of famous GTs -- is a tribute to this phenomenal coupe.
Continuing the tradition of excellence established by Exoto's well established Racing Legends collection, the new grand 1:18 scale Aston Martin V12 Vanquish features: Opening doors, hood, trunk and gas cap; Genuine wire mesh details inside and out; Tilting and sliding seats; Opening center console and glovebox; Positionable sun visors; Real PVC rubber door seals; Carpeted trunk with jack, fire extinguisher and umbrella; Removable underbody panels to reveal exquisite details; The propellor shaft turns with the wheels; Simulated lightweight carbon exhaust pipes; Perforated photo-etch liner in the exhaust tips; Fully wired and plumbed 5.9L V12; and more...
The all-new Aston Martin Vanquish sets the bar high for all future Gran Turismo replicas and beats replicas of other such cars by leaps and bounds. Exoto again moves the art forward!
